About Me

Rob Napier
Multidisciplinary Designer

I’m a designer originally from the UK passionate about crafting exciting digital and physical experiences through innovative design having worked for a great many agency and corporate clients during my nearly a decade long career in varying roles in London, Birmingham and Sydney.

I’m always seeking new challenges or problems to solve focusing on product design (physical and UI/UX) hoping to bring considered, highly desirable products to market.

What I'm Good At

I possess an array of design expertise able to take ideas from conception through to final output in any medium, from initial brief and research, insights to user-journey maps, prototypes, initial concepts, development and testing through to final product; whatever the brief or problem I strive to produce seamless experiences.

Attributes
  • Having originally graduated in Industrial Design and now having nearly 10 years experience in digital and visual design I have developed strong interaction visual design skills underpinned by a human centred design approach.
  • Designed for both web and native iOS and android applications for both mobile and desktop devices.
  • Meticulous and very driven with a professional attitude but also a fun and friendly demeanour, preferring a collaborative team approach to working but also happy to just grab a coffee plug in and crack on when needed.
  • Not afraid to speak up and will happily share my thoughts and findings on a project but also to the wider team and company if I think it will benefit the creativity and overall productivity.
  • Having largely worked in UI or digital product roles I know what a great digital product looks like but also how from first UX research and low fidelity prototypes is fundamental to a considered and great product.
  • I love working in cross-functional teams, it’s where I thrive and will patiently share my findings or explain my design decisions to meaningfully contribute to a project.
  • Always eager to learn, whether outside my industry or new complexities within I often undertake further education or projects in my own time in order to leverage knowledge or just simply gleam inspiration to utilise in the future.
