Your Billabong UI Concept
In early 2018 I saw an opportunity for an exploratory project in to an already growing use of online customisation of products to purchase tools, undertaken by the bigger brands such as Nike and Apple and smaller brands starting to follow suit. I chose Billabong as apart from already having an interest in surfing I could see a gap in the market and it provided and could envision a far more creative and environmentally friendly rationale through the lens of the surfing culture.
Site UI & Promotion
Despite my design focusing on the UX/UI of the product customisation to order feature I found myself drifting in to thinking about Billabong’s current eCommerce experience and promotion of that tool within the current site and so put together a quick concept.
Brand & Styling
The aim was to keep it simple with the overt message being make it ‘yours’ and underlying tone being related to water (ocean) with the ink signifying the editing and addition of colour to a blank canvas.
